Friedrich Merz makes his inaugural visit in the navy. On board, he was impressed of their performance and warned against Russia.
Chancellor Friedrich Merz was a guest at the naval command in Rostock on 28 August. He was received by Vice Admiral Jan Christian Kaack in the Hanseatic city on the Warnow estuary. The Chancellor and naval inspector then flew to Bavaria in a helicopter. The NH 90 landed on the frigate in calm seas. The approximately 30-year-old Class 123 unit had set sail from the Rostock naval arsenal Warnowwerft in the morning with representatives of the press on board for the Mecklenburg Bay.
