Experience the navy at "Open Ship" and open-air concert in Kiel

The German Navy will be holding an "Open Ship" at the Kiel naval base on 4 September 2021 from 1 pm to 5 pm. Among other things, one of the German Navy's newest frigates, the "Nordrhein-Westfalen", will be on display. The flagship of Kiel Week 2021 is the frigate "Hamburg". The tender "Rhein" and the Kiel minesweepers "Weilheim" and "Fulda" can also be visited. The naval battalion from Eckernförde and the base fire brigade will also be taking part.

Access via the south guard of the naval base on condition of being vaccinated, recovered or tested. Mouth and nose protection must be worn.

Another highlight is the traditional concert by the Kiel Naval Music Corps on Friday, 10 September 2021 from 6 pm to 7 pm. This will take place in the sports hall of the naval base and is barrier-free. Interested parties must register for the concert by emailing [email protected] register. The number of visitors is limited, admission is free, but a donation is requested after the concert for those affected by the flood disaster in North Rhine-Westphalia and Rhineland-Palatinate.
