The ship that ran aground on the night of 2 February while approaching the Weser estuary is free. Using a total of eight tugs, salvage teams on the North Sea have brought the grounded container freighter "Mumbai Maersk" back underway. This was announced by the Central Command for Maritime Emergencies in Cuxhaven after the salvage operation, according to dpa. According to the agency, the 400-metre-long ship was stranded in shallow water a good six kilometres north of the East Frisian island of Wangerooge.
