There are only a few specialists in the world who specialise in transporting particularly large and heavy systems by sea. The Dutch company Jumbo from Schiedam is one of the best known and is in demand worldwide thanks to the expertise of its employees and the available means of transport. Jumbo landed its latest coup with the transport of a 1435 tonne ship loader. After almost two years of planning and a final simulation on site, the project team was able to bring the behemoth safely on board the "Jumbo Kinetic" in the harbour of Phu My Port in Vietnam. The special ship is equipped with two dual-lift-capable 1500-tonne cranes.
At the end of a twenty-day sea voyage, the "Jumbo Kinetic" reached Vancouver in Canada. The 135 metre long and 43 metre high loader found its designated place at the Neptune Terminal there.
