Appendix 2
Election procedure as at 01.04.2024 General Meeting 2024
Information on the conduct of elections during the 2024 General Meeting
The procedure for the election of personnel to the Board of Directors, the full MOV Board of Directors and the election of auditors is based on the statutory periods of office in accordance with sections 7 and 10 of the Articles of Association.
For the first time, block elections can be held this year for the election of assessors and auditors. This was made possible by a corresponding amendment to the Articles of Association at the 2023 Annual General Meeting.
Elections are based on a simple majority of the votes cast by the members present.
In detail:
1. Chairman of the Board of Directors and the Executive Board
(to be elected until 2026):
Former Rear Admiral Thorsten Kähler will stand for re-election. As there is only one nomination, the Chairman is to be elected by open individual ballot.
2. Assessor on the Board of Directors
(to be elected in open block voting until 2026):
Captain Oliver Jülke is standing for re-election as 2nd assessor.
Mrs Frigate Captain Tanja Merkl is standing for re-election as the 4th assessor to be elected.
Corvette Captain Fabian Dilly is standing for re-election as the 6th assessor.
Frigate Captain Elmar Bornkessel is no longer available for the 8th assessor to be elected. Mrs Frigate Captain Jill Nippe is standing for election.
3. Auditor (to be elected by 2025):
FKpt aD Peter Lochbaum and KptzS dR Frank Herboth are standing for re-election for the two auditor posts. An open block vote is held.
For those candidates who cannot be present in person at the General Meeting, declarations of consent to accept the election have been submitted in the event of election.
signed.

General Meeting 19/20 April 2024
Ladies and gentlemen, dear members,
Preparations for the 2024 Annual General Meeting on 19/20 April 2024 in Wilhelmshaven are almost complete.
Further information can be found here in "bulk".
We will again be organising a bus transport service for our participants:
19 April
17.10 hrs from the German Naval Museum (for hotels on the south beach) approx. 17.20 hrs B+B Hotel
approx. 5.30 pm Hotel Home
approx. 17.40 hrs Hotel Valois
Transfer to Rüstersiel to the Hotel Zur schönen Aussicht (exit at Rüstersieler Straße on the Maadebrücke).
22.00 hrs from Rüstersiel Return transfer to the hotels
20 April
07.25 hrs from Rüstersiel (Maadebrücke),
approx. 07.40 Hotel Home
approx. 07.50 Hotel Valois
approx. 08.00 B+B Hotel
Transfer to the Wadden Sea House
16.30 hrs from Wadden Sea House Return transfer to the hotels.
I would like to point out that the Hotel Rüstersieler Hof not as the streets are too narrow for a bus. However, the Maadebrücke bridge and the Hotel zur Schönen Aussicht are within easy walking distance of Rüstersiel.
The car park situation in Wilhelmshaven is extremely unsatisfactory.
The prices for a public pitch are as follows 2,00€ per hour. Please include this in your planning.
Sensitive documents such as the budget estimate for 2024 and the list of participants will be sent to members by email. I will send them not in the marine forum and publish it on the homepage.
If you are unable to attend the meeting but still require the information, I will of course send you these documents on request.
This should be enough information for now. If you have any questions, please write to us or give us a call.
WE SEE US!
Yours, Elmar Brocksieper
