Charity concert at the Mürwik Naval Academy in Flensburg
Every two years - the Mürwik Naval School organised a charity concert. Despite the changeable weather at the beginning of the event, the Kiel Naval Music Corps under the direction of Lieutenant Captain Andreas Siry immediately created a great atmosphere among the almost 500 guests. From the overture to Verdi's Nabucco to George Gershwin, James Last and Phil Collins to sea shanties and the march "Gruß an Kiel", the concert came to a close after a good two hours with the playing of the national anthem. And the weather had improved in the meantime. This year, 100 % of the proceeds will be donated in equal parts to the Marine-Offizier-Hilfe e.V., the Spendenparlament Flensburg und Umgebung and the Flensburger Tafel der Johanniter-Unfallhilfe.
All three organisations were delighted to receive a donation of €1,400 each.
