Interview with the commander of the frigate HESSEN by Holger Schlüter.

There are many questions following the end of the explosive deployment of the frigate HESSEN in the Red Sea. The commander of the ship, frigate captain Volker Kübsch, cannot answer all of them, and after all, military security also demands secrecy. The German public must accept that there are limits to transparency, even for their own safety. The findings are now being extensively analysed, both technically, tactically and in terms of personnel. Nevertheless, the man most in demand during the operation was available to marineforum.

Mr Kübsch, our deep respect for you and your crew! How many interviews have you already given and what can you no longer hear?

I haven't counted them exactly, but there have been quite a few interviews and similar formats and I'm sure there will be more to come. I'm always pleased about the interest in the ship, crew and mission - although here and there my resilience to leading questions about the firing of a US drone was tested, but also my ability to deal with the situation.
