Royal Navy supersonic weapon Martlet

Royal Navy with „Martlet“ as drone killer

Martlet is the name of the Royal Navy's latest supersonic weapon, which reached operational maturity in last year's Explosive Autumn exercises. Deployed from the ground or from a Wildcat helicopter against flying or floating drones, it achieved a high hit rate. Martlet is one of two new missile systems - the second is the Sea Venom for corvette-sized sea targets. Incidentally, Martlet is an English mythical creature, similar to a swallow, only without feet, which is why it has to fly constantly. The main thing is that it eats a lot of drones!
