Friesland-Kabel GmbH expands product portfolio

From April, Friesland-Kabel GmbH's logistics centre in the Hanseatic city of Wismar will be stocking military marine cables that comply with the German Armed Forces' VG standard (defence equipment standard) in addition to marine cables for civilian applications. It is a response to the increasing demand in Germany, but also worldwide, according to the company's press release. The range includes cutting, taping and labelling as well as stockpiling and warehousing. The latter also enables just-in-time delivery of common cable types according to individual customer requirements.

With the Prysmian Group, Friesland-Kabel GmbH has the world market leader for energy and telecommunications cables as a partner. Friesland-Kabel GmbH currently has the largest stock of marine cables in Germany and supplies well-known shipyards and electrical installation companies. Cables for civil and military applications must have the necessary certificates for use on ships and platforms. Since 2019, Friesland-Kabel GmbH has been part of the Faber Group, which also includes Klaus Faber AG.
