On the occasion of the current difficult and catastrophic situation in Afghanistan the Bundeswehr and Reservists running team together with the Afghan Local Forces Sponsorship Network organised a charity runwhich runs until 17 October 2021.
All entry fees and additional donations for our charity run will be donated without deductions to the association "Sponsorship Network Afghan Local Forces e.V." forwarded. The association supports deployed local staff and volunteers in dealing with the authorities, is available with specialist expertise such as psychologists or Therapists and offert Backing.
Major General Gert Nultsch, Military Vice President of the Federal Office of Bundeswehr Equipment, Information Technology and In-Service Support, is the patron of the charity run. The charity run receives further support from Brigadier General Mark Kurczykthe Commander of the Mecklenburg-Vorpommern State Command and the President of the German Armed Forces Reservists' Association, Member of the Bundestag Prof Dr Patrick Sensburg, who both provided words of welcome.
To be completed runners can choose distances of 5, 10, 15, 21 or 42 kilometres. Furthermore, any distance can be walked and there is also a children's run over one kilometre. The standard entry fee is five euros.
The Bundeswehr and Reservists running team was founded during the coronavirus pandemic and has since taken part in several charity runs. for a good cause participated.
