US Navy decides on installation in front of hypersonic missile

The topic of hypersonic weapons is also slowly taking shape in the US Navy! Huntington Ingalls Industries (HII) has been selected to install the first launch systems for the American missiles in the Zumwalt-class destroyers USS Zumwalt and USS Michael Monsoor, according to the Naval Sea Systems Command. The modernisation measures are to be carried out during the next shipyard laytime of the two ships. The work not only requires a suitable dry dock, but also appropriate heavy-duty crane capacities, roofing and specially trained experts. The reasons for selecting HII suggest that the project is not a trivial one. But you only need to take a look at the silhouette of these ships.

It's not that far yet!

In preparation for its first overseas deployment, the USS Zumwalt conducted its first live-fire mission in April of this year. The Evolved Sea Sparrow Block 1 (ESSM) and Standard Missile 2 (SM-2) missiles were also fired at corresponding targets. The project was also the final proof of the air defence capability of the entire DDG-1000 system.
