US Navy: EloKa weapons against helicopters on the ground

An inconspicuous photo gave it away: As can be seen from the launch symbol under the pilot's cockpit, US Navy pilots destroyed a grounded Mil Mi-24 Hind combat helicopter belonging to the Huthi militias towards the end of February 2024 - and, as was later revealed, they did so using an AGM-88E Advanced Anti-Radiation Guided Missile (AARGM), which normally targets enemy radar pulses.

Detached from a Boeing EA-18G Growler as a long-range weapon, this FK can also be aimed at fixed target coordinates. The Growlers used for electronic warfare were embarked on board the Dwight D. Eisenhower carrier in the Mediterranean at the beginning of the year. Even if the Soviet-produced helicopters captured by the former Yemeni armed forces may have little operational value, they will still be able to carry out analogue reconnaissance.
