FG Frigate Lower Saxony

The "ARCONA Naval Gaming" project launched at the beginning of 2020 by the Fördergemeinschaft Fregatte NIEDERSACHSEN and Marinestützpunkt Wilhelmshaven e.V. will be carried out for the first time this year as a "Maritime Programme for Holidays on the North Sea" following the complete restoration of the ARCONA by the owner Deutscher Marinebund e.V. The FG was founded on 01.06.2006 in Wilhelmshaven, is recognised as a non-profit association and is under the patronage of the Minister of the Interior of Lower Saxony. In 2016, the association was affiliated to the Wilhelmshaven naval base following the decommissioning of the "Niedersachsen" and the then Minister of the Interior of Lower Saxony - Boris Pistorius - was the patron of the association until he recently took on a new assignment as Federal Minister of Defence. The association is "selflessly" active and has no commercial purpose.
