Despite all the setbacks of the past hundred years, the Gebrüder Friedrich shipyard has always capitalised on its opportunities. The company is also successful as a service provider for the navy.
On 5 July 2021, Gebr. Friedrich GmbH & Co. KG Schiffswerft will be 100 years old. And just in time for the anniversary, the Kiel-based company with 180 employees and its subsidiaries in Kiel and Rostock is launching an innovation offensive. The innovative hybrid pier that has just been completed in front of the shipyard is characteristic of the family business, which has transformed itself from a small craft business into a modern, medium-sized industrial company. Over four generations, the family has continuously expanded the shipyard and flexibly adapted it to the requirements of its time.
