"Bonn" back

It was a stormy night, a hurricane with winds of up to 12 gusts swept across northern Germany as the Bonn made its way homewards on the Jade. They stayed overnight just outside the harbour. "Actually, you want to avoid something like this," said the commander, frigate captain Eike Deußen, to the squadron commander, frigate captain Torsten Geldmacher, as they entered the harbour. He had previously reported the ship back to his boss after a successful mission. The atmosphere on the pier was full of anticipation before everyone was able to hug their loved ones again. After 85 days away, the guests stormed on board as soon as the Stelling was deployed. It had been decided to keep the ceremony as short as possible so as not to test the relatives' patience. This time, the music for the ceremony was also canned. Before that, the ship played the anthem "Mer sin Bonn" by Jedöns (listen to the video).
