Sail training ships - so old and so modern

A moment of carelessness and a wave took me off my tired legs and I slid roughly across the wooden deck. Somewhat shocked and dripping, I heard the boatswain shouting at me in the wind through the water in my ears "All right? Then watch sailor - to the sheet!" There we pulled on the rope with a loud rhythm of "haul away". This went on for hours. It wasn't an exercise or a harassing drill, but a battle with a storm. Sneak routes and cheat loading

Tiny Egyptian harbour is a transshipment point for Russian oil. Western sanctions apparently make people very inventive. A cargo of around 700,000 barrels of Russian oil, or about 112,000 tonnes, was delivered to Egypt's El Hamra oil terminal on the Mediterranean coast in the early morning of 24 July. A few hours later, another ship picked up another cargo from the port that may have contained some or all of the Russian barrels, according to ship tracking data observed by Bloomberg. The destination of the cargo is therefore difficult to trace, contributing to the increasing opacity of Russian oil shipments. El Hamra, which is operated by the Egyptian Western Desert...

"One of us" charity run - Bundeswehr and reservist running team handed over a donation

On 3 August 2022, the deputy chairman of the Bundeswehr and Reservists running team, Lieutenant Colonel Oliver Muhs, handed over a donation cheque for EUR 5,500 to the commander of the Special Forces Command, Brigadier General Ansgar Meyer. Bundeswehr and reservist running team supported bereaved families The reason for this charity run was an accident at the Special Forces Command (KSK). On 9 June 2022, a KSK soldier tragically lost his life during mountain training. The Bundeswehr and reservist running team spontaneously decided to support the bereaved by organising a charity run. The charity run was a great success The "One of us" charity run was so well supported that over EUR 5,000 was raised in just two weeks. To the...
