Sweden rejects Russian demand for transparency
Acting Prime Minister Magdalena Andersson on Monday rejected Russia's demands for transparency in the Swedish investigation into the gas leaks in the Baltic Sea last week. Russia had sent a letter to the Swedish government asking it to investigate the gas leak. This came after Sweden rejected Russia's repeated demands for more transparency. "In Sweden, investigations are confidential," Andersson said at a press conference on board a Swedish coastguard vessel in Karlskrona, southern Sweden. She added that in her country, investigations are confidential. According to Andersson, the Swedish authorities have no information that Russia is investigating the area.
