Tender "Rhein" returns from the Aegean Sea

From the Hanse Sail to two Mediterranean missions - Corvette "Oldenburg" leaves Rostock's home port

On Sunday, 13 August 2023 at 1 pm, the corvette "Oldenburg" will leave its home port of Warnemünde as part of the Hanse Sail to take part in both the mandated foreign deployment UNIFIL (United Nations Interim Force in Lebanon) off the Lebanese coast and the NATO Aegean Support Mission. Under the command of Corvette Captain Markus Schwefer (38), the crew will initially embark on a transit to Limassol (Cyprus). From here, the K130 class corvette is expected to support the Lebanese Navy with maritime surveillance and training as part of the UNIFIL mission off the Lebanese coast until the end of October. Keel laid for the first naval fuel supply vessel
