The Ministry of Defence is procuring thirteen new boats for the Royal Netherlands Navy to replace the current Fast Raiding Interception Special Forces Craft (FRISC). The contracts with the De Haas Maassluis B.V. shipyard in Rotterdam were signed in March and the first Future Fast Interceptors (FFI) are due to be delivered in around 3 to 4 years. On 31 March 2025, the "Ivan Papanin", Russia's first "combat icebreaker", reached its home port of Severomorsk after being observed leaving the Baltic Sea on 25 March. From 25 November to 19 December, members of the Parow Naval Technology School ran their traditional naval punch stall at the Stralsund Christmas market on the initiative of the NCO interest group. The maritime classic enjoyed great popularity, far beyond the regional borders. With a great deal of personal commitment and in their free time, the members of the MTS Parow were able to raise an impressive €25,000.
