Ladies commission HSVA for tests

Damen Naval and the Hamburgische Schiffbau-Versuchsanstalt (HSVA) have signed a contract for comprehensive cooperation in the field of hydrodynamic optimisation and the implementation of an extensive model test campaign for the new Class 126 frigates. Leonardo would thus have paid a premium of just under 50 per cent. With their investment, the Italians want to establish a strategic presence in the growing German defence market.
