The navy and the evil empire

Music on board a navy ship! Not really, it wasn't Helene Fischer breathlessly gyrating in the sails of the "Gorch Fock", that would have been a real news item with a scandalous attitude. The information that the corvette "Braunschweig" paid a visit to London wasn't really interesting enough either. After all, this is routine among NATO partners. Incoming and outgoing music for naval units is also completely normal, so it wasn't a big deal either. If it had been announced that the Imperial March, known as Darth Vader's Theme, was to be played in honour of London and the British Empire, that would have been more likely. "Only the highest standards are good enough!"

Interview with the commander of the frigate HESSEN by Holger Schlüter. There are many questions following the end of the explosive deployment of the frigate HESSEN in the Red Sea. Not all of them can be answered by the ship's commander, frigate captain Volker Kübsch, and after all, military security also demands secrecy. The German public must accept that there are limits to transparency, even for their own safety. The findings are now being extensively analysed, both technically, tactically and in terms of personnel. The man most in demand during the operation was nevertheless available to marineforum. Mr Kübsch, our deep respect for you and your crew! How many interviews have you already given...
