Review SMM - Developments in the shipbuilding industry

The German Shipbuilding and Ocean Industries Association provided information on current industry developments at SMM. Under the motto "SMM - driving the maritime transition", the 31st SMM focussed on the maritime energy transition and the digital transformation. Between 3 and 6 September, not only the latest technologies and solutions from the maritime industry were presented. Twelve packed exhibition halls and numerous exhibitors in the open-air areas once again impressively demonstrated the diversity of the maritime industry. 90,000 square metres, representing the entire value chain of the industry. F127 thyssenkrupp Marine Systems and NVL compete together

MCN publishes updated guide to increasing ship efficiency

Efficient ship operations are a decisive lever for more climate-friendly shipping. For this reason, the Maritime Cluster Northern Germany (MCN), in collaboration with industry experts, has developed a comprehensive English-language guide to ship efficiency, which is available in an updated version just in time for the start of SMM Hamburg, the world's leading trade fair for the maritime industry. the aim of the guide is to provide an overview of existing regulations in international maritime shipping and to highlight technical options for decarbonisation and improving ship efficiency and to evaluate their impact. Meyer builds another Disney cruise ship

The propulsion engines and generator sets for the power supply of the three new Miecznik multipurpose frigates for the Polish Navy are currently being built at the Rolls-Royce Power Systems Division in Friedrichshafen.
