FS Dixmude ends Operation Corymbe

After 80 days, the French amphibious group centred around the helicopter carrier Dixmude has left the Gulf of Guinea. On board the carrier are the French Groupe tactique embarqué (GTE) Dragon and Portuguese Fuzileiros. They were deployed off the African coast as part of the 156th mandate of Operation Corymbe. Russian ships pass through Gibraltar

On 19 April, four Russian ships crossed the Strait of Gibraltar on a westerly course. The Franco-German company Airbus has been awarded a major defence contract by the French government. Mysterious incidents off the coast of the UAE

According to reports from pro-Iranian media and an Israeli television station on Tuesday, 13 April, a merchant ship was attacked off the coast of the United Arab Emirates.
