Minehunting boat "Homburg" returns home after three months of deployment

On Tuesday, 26 October 2021 at 10 a.m., the minehunting boat "Homburg" will return to its home port of Kiel. Over the past three months, the 43-strong crew from the 3rd Minehunting Squadron took part in the Standing NATO Mine Counter Measures Group 1 (SNMCMG 1). Together with ships and boats from seven NATO nations, the crew trained in the North and Baltic Seas under the leadership of the US Navy - a first in the history of SNMCMG 1. BAAINBw awards military history prize

On 14 October, Major General Gert Nultsch, Vice President of the Federal Office of Bundeswehr Equipment, Information Technology and In-Service Support (BAAINBw), presented the prize for military history and the history of military technology at a colloquium for young researchers in military history at the University of Potsdam, accompanied by music from the Bundeswehr Music Corps. U 35 back from deployment

Not nice weather in Eckernförde, but a nice day for the crew of U 35 and their families. The submarine "U 35", under the command of Corvette Captain Oliver Brux (34), returned from the EU operation "Irini" at 10.00 a.m. on the dot. Federal Minister of Defence on a farewell tour
