Gorch Fock back!

As Lürssen Werft has just announced, the handover date for the GORCH FOCK will be 30 September 2021!

Following a final review and consultation with all parties involved in the project, this decision was agreed. The sail training ship will move to the Wilhelmshaven naval arsenal at the beginning of September as part of a shipyard trial run. In Wilhelmshaven, further internal trials and acceptance tests will be carried out in addition to the final outfitting. During this phase, the German Navy will also place its equipment on board.

Werra is coming back!

It was a cold Friday with temperatures around zero degrees when the Werra left Kiel at the beginning of January. Under her commander, Corvette Captain Robert Lehmann, 61 male and 10 female soldiers took their leave on board the tender and set course for the Mediterranean.
