Econowind: Fuel-saving sails can now also be leased

So-called ventifoils enable ship owners to reduce emissions, comply with international regulations and save considerable costs. A new investment loan from ABN Amro now enables Atradius Dutch State Business (DSB) and its Econowind division to further develop these industrial sails and to finance both the sale and rental of the sails. This gives shipowners low-threshold access to this green technology. Econowind's aim is to equip as many ships as possible worldwide with this technology. Sun brings parcels

Deutsche Post will transport parcels in Berlin using a solar-powered boat. It is to be used on the River Spree. It is a Deutsche Post test, the company announced on its website. The ship will transport hundreds of parcels from the southern harbour in Spandau to the western harbour every day - emission-free and noiseless. Hamburg: The world's leading maritime trade fair is back

After a four-year break due to the coronavirus pandemic, the global shipbuilding industry met again for the 30th SMM (Shipbuilding, machinery & marine technology international trade fair), the world's leading maritime trade fair, in Hamburg (6 to 9 September 2022). The SMM was held under the motto "Driving the maritime transition". The focus was therefore on the maritime energy transition, digital transformation and climate change. MAN Diesel for the frigate 126

Damen relies on "made in Germany" As the Dutch company announced at the SMM in Hamburg, the propulsion diesel engines for the German Navy's new frigate class 126 are to be supplied by MAN Energy Solutions.
