Rolls-Royce plans to showcase new mtu marine solutions at the maritime industry trade fair in Hamburg (SMM) from 6 to 9 September 2022 Rolls-Royce announced in 2021 as part of its 'Net Zero at Power Systems' sustainability programme that it would realign the product portfolio of its Power Systems business unit so that sustainable fuels and new mtu technologies can reduce greenhouse gas emissions by 35 percent by 2030 compared to 2019. Rolls-Royce invites all customers and interested parties to visit stand 307 in hall A3 in Hamburg to find out more about the new mtu portfolio and to ask all pressing questions about future fuels, drive, automation and service solutions.

Die Bundeswehr plant schon seit einigen Jahren einen Light Utility Helicopter (LUH) für mehrere Teilstreitkräfte zu beschaffen, mit dem insbesondere die Aus- und Weiterbildung von Piloten zwischen der Beendigung ihrer Hubschrauber-Grundausbildung und dem Einsatz auf ihrem Einsatzhelikopter wie dem NH90 oder dem Tiger erfolgen soll. Nach den ursprünglichen Vorstellungen sollten dabei die Teilstreitkräfte im Rahmen dieses Vorhabens „Leichter Mehrzweckhubschrauber Streitkräfte“ oder „LUH SK“ das gleiche Hubschraubermuster beschaffen. On Friday, 8 July 2022, the "Belgorod" (project 09852) was handed over to the Russian Navy. The ceremonial signing of the acceptance protocol and the handover, during which the St Andrew's flag is hoisted in accordance with Russian procedure, took place at the Sevmash shipyard (Severodvinsk/Arkhangelsk). According to a press release from the shipyard, the ceremony was attended by the leadership of the Ministry of Defence, the Navy, the administrations of the Arkhangelsk and Severodvinsk oblasts and representatives of the shipbuilding industry. Der US-Hersteller von unbemannten Luftfahrzeugen, General Atomics Aeronautical Systems (GA-ASI), weitet den Einsatzbereich seiner Drohnen kontinuierlich aus. Wie das Unternehmen in einer Mitteilung schreibt, hat es in Vorbereitung auf die Übung Rim of the Pacific (RIMPAC) 2022 eine Reihe von Flugtests mit Sensoren für die elektronische Aufklärung (ELINT), die Kommunikationsaufklärung (COMINT) und Link-16-Nutzlast in Kalifornien erfolgreich durchgeführt. Die Sensoren wurden der Mitteilung zufolge von GA-ASI in das unbemannte Luftfahrzeug MQ-9B SeaGuardian integriert, das bei RIMPAC 22 zum Einsatz kommen soll.
