Poseidon: Order placed

The US Navy has placed an order with Boeing for the production of five P-8A Poseidon aircraft for Germany. The first deliveries are scheduled to begin in 2024, when the Poseidon will replace the German P-3C Orion fleet. Michael Hostetter, Vice President, Boeing Defense, Space & Security, Germany, was pleased to announce that he could expand the presence in Germany by providing the German Navy with this aircraft with multi-mission capabilities. German industry is a key partner for the P-8A Poseidon programme. Working with local partners, Boeing will provide support, training and maintenance solutions that ensure the highest operational availability to fulfil the missions of the German Navy.

Sea Lynx: 40 years in service
