Kiel - On Wednesday, 25 September 2024 at 1 p.m., a premiere will take place at the German Navy. All commanders of the naval base commands in Kiel, Eckernförde and Warnemünde will hand over their command to their successors together in Kiel. The commander of Operational Flotilla 1, Flotilla Admiral Sascha Helge Rackwitz, commented: "This year we are celebrating a first in Operational Flotilla 1: three changes of command of the three naval bases belonging to the flotilla in one go: Kiel, Eckernförde and Warnemünde.
