The German Maritime Search and Rescue Service (DGzRS) has been realising the rescue of human lives from distress at sea and dangerous situations in the German areas of the North Sea and Baltic Sea for 159 years. "Maritime Rescue Day" is held once a year on the last Sunday in July and each participating station offered its own programme on 28.07.2024.
