Following her week-long visit to Perth, Australia, the frigate BAYERN has entered the harbour of Guam as planned on her seven-month training cruise through the Indo-Pacific. During the 14-day transit, two bunker stops in Darwin/North Australia and Palau/Micronesia were planned in addition to smaller training sections with the navies of the nations on the route. Am 14. Oktober wurde im Rahmen eines Nachwuchskolloquiums für Militärgeschichte an der Universität Potsdam der Förderpreis für Militärgeschichte und Militärtechnikgeschichte durch Generalmajor Gert Nultsch, Vizepräsident des Bundesamtes für Ausrüstung, Informationstechnik und Nutzung der Bundeswehr (BAAINBw), mit musikalischer Begleitung des Musikkorps der Bundeswehr verliehen. Das BAAINBw würdigt mit dieser Auszeichnung herausragende wissenschaftliche Arbeiten in den Bereichen Militärgeschichte und Militärtechnikgeschichte. On Thursday, 21 October 2021, the minehunting boat "Bad Bevensen" will leave its home port of Kiel at 10 am. The boat will be part of NATO's Standing NATO Mine Countermeasures Group 1 (SNMCMG 1) for the coming months. She replaces the "Homburg", which had already left Kiel on 14 July. Under the command of Corvette Captain Christopher Fenske (37), the 42-strong crew will set sail for Cuxhaven to join the NATO organisation there.
