According to NATO information, only the Spanish destroyer Méndez Núñez is now part of this group. SNMG 2 is commanded by Spanish Flotilla Admiral Manuel Aguirre Aldereguía. The Chinese navy decommissioned its frigate Zhaotong (555) on 26 April. It was one of the last Jianghu II class (type 053 H1) ships still in service. These purely Chinese products were designed and produced in the 1980s. With a length of 103 metres, the approximately 10 metre wide units only displaced around 1600 tonnes. The Israeli navy has gained a modern corvette. The second Sa'ar 6 class corvette was christened today, 4 April, at Thyssenkrupp Marine Systems (TKMS) in Kiel.
