Mysterious incidents off the coast of the UAE

According to reports from pro-Iranian media and an Israeli television station on Tuesday, 13 April, a merchant ship was attacked off the coast of the United Arab Emirates. It is said to be the Hyperion Ray, a vehicle transporter built in 2015, 200 metres long and 36 metres wide, which sails for the Ray Car Carrier shipping company. Farewell after the fire disaster

On 14 April, the USS Bonhomme Richard (LHD 6) was decommissioned by the Navy in a ceremony. The amphibious landing ship had been severely damaged in a fire last year. However, this was the L'Adroit formerly operated by the Marine Nationale. It was commissioned in 2012, but had only been leased from France for six years. The design...

As a result, the ships deployed here are almost fully booked and freight rates for containers have multiplied in some cases. Another problem is that containers are currently not available in sufficient numbers in Asia, which is also due to the fact that significantly fewer goods are exported from Europe than producers ship in the opposite direction. The boxes are therefore sometimes returned with a long delay and then end up in the wrong place.
