North wind restoration project

In the last week of February, the engineering firm Detlef Löll spent around one and a half days inspecting the former sailor's training boat Nordwind at the Neue Jadewerft shipyard and determining the need for repairs. Atlas receives order to develop a sonar base for Australia

Atlas Elektronik, designer and manufacturer of sonar systems for submarines, minesweepers and combat vessels, as well as torpedoes and autonomous systems, has been selected by Lockheed Martin Australia (LMA) to design the bow sonar base for the future Attack-class submarines. Fincantieri builds two more submarines for Italy

On 26 February, the Italian shipbuilding company Fincantieri signed a contract with Occar to build two submarines for the Italian Navy. These are units of the U 212 NFS (Near Future Submarine) class that have yet to be developed.
