Day of the Bundeswehr 2024 on the Hohe Düne

At the beginning of June, as every year on Armed Forces Day, the doors of selected branches and units of the armed forces are opened. Interested and well-meaning people were able to familiarise themselves with the versatility of all branches of the armed forces. A varied programme with numerous information stands took place at the Warnemünde naval base. Many services, including the 1st Corvette Squadron, the armoured artillery training battalion from Munster, the reconnaissance troops from Eutin, the military police from Neubrandenburg, HIL GmbH as well as the federal police and veterans' associations, offered information stands and large equipment for viewing. Farewell on Armed Forces Day

Impressions of the Bundeswehr Day in Warnemünde Corvette Ludwigshafen is on its way to the Mediterranean. Farewell by Parliamentary State Secretary Siemtje Möller. On Saturday, the corvette "Ludwigshafen am Rhein" left her home port of Warnemünde to take part in the mandated mission UNIFIL (United Nations Interim Force in Lebanon) off the coast of Lebanon. Berlin: Capability maintenance of the Brandenburg class approved

At its meeting on 15 May 2024, the Budget Committee of the German Bundestag released a total of 1.9 billion euros for four projects that affect the entire operational spectrum of the Bundeswehr. One project will maintain the operational availability of the Brandenburg class. Around 29 nations, 40 ships, 3 submarines, 14 national land forces, over 150 aircraft and helicopters and more than 25,000 soldiers will take part in the biennial Rim of the Pacific (RIMPAC) exercise, which is scheduled to take place in and around the Hawaiian Islands from 26 June to 2 August.
