Autonomously circumnavigating Denmark

Boston-based Sea Machines Robotics announced today that it has completed the world's first autonomous and remote-controlled voyage of a seagoing vehicle over more than 1,000 nautical miles. Under the project name "The Machine Odyssey", the company's autonomous tug Nellie Bly completed a circumnavigation of Denmark. It only needed 129 operating hours over 13 days. Royal Navy trials autonomous RIB

The Royal Navy has taken a major step towards the use of autonomous ships. During recent trials in Plymouth, the frigate HMS Argyll piloted an unmanned Pacific 24 inflatable boat (RIB) at sea. During the week-long trials, conducted by the Royal Navy's technical division, NavyX, and BAE Systems, the cameras and sensors on board the boat constantly fed data to Argyll and a temporary operations centre was set up in the ship's hangar. For the first time, the RIB's control system was also integrated into the ship's operations room so that it could be controlled and commanded from the same location.

The members of the Maritime Cluster Northern Germany (MCN) have re-elected parts of the Executive Board. The election took place by postal vote following the virtual general meeting on 6 September 2021. Frigate Bayern on Guam
