Change of command on task force supply ship "Berlin"

On Tuesday, 19 September 2023 at 1 p.m., the commander of the frigate captain Thorsten Geldmacher took over command of the Task force provider "Berlin" from Frigate captain Stefan Klatt on Frigate Captain Karsten Uwe Schlüter.

The ceremony will take place on the task force supply ship "Berlin" at the shipyard "German Naval Yards" in Kiel. In 2019, Frigate Captain Klatt took over the post of commanding officer on the the "Berlin".

In future, he will work at the naval command in Rostock as a conception and development officer and thus contribute to maintaining and optimising the future viability of the navy.

The new commander, Frigate Captain Karsten Uwe Schlüter, previously served in the post that will now be taken over by the outgoing commander.
