This year's major maritime manoeuvre Northern Coasts (NOCO), one of the most important multinational exercises to strengthen cooperation between the naval forces of Germany and its partners in the Baltic Sea region, will take place from 9 to 23 September 2023. This year, the German Navy and DEU MARFOR are responsible for the planning and realisation of the exercise. The protection of the northern flank is an elementary focus of the German Navy in national and alliance defence.
