Essen/Kiel: thyssenkrupp Marine Systems wants independence

After the "FAZ" newspaper headlined in June 2023: "Thyssenkrupp makes submarine division ready for sale" Oliver Burkhard as head of tkMS, has now taken the first steps towards independence on Twitter.

This was tkMS' reaction to statements made last week by the head of the Italian shipbuilding group Fincantieri. In an interview with the "Süddeutsche Zeitung" newspaper, he had spoken in favour of closer cooperation with the group. From an industrial perspective, any co-operation between tkMS and Fincantieri creates new value.
