February saw the ceremonial keel laying of the first fleet service boat, which the Peene shipyard in Wolgast has affectionately named "FloDoBo". (You can find the first report on this here). And when the keel of the second boat was laid on 19 November, the foredeck section of the first Class 424 fleet service boat under construction could already be seen in the background, strictly screened off.

The forward section was moved from Wolgast to Kiel at the weekend by the NVL Peene shipyard using three tugs. The plan is to move it to Bremen, where it will be connected to the aft section. The future first ship will then be completed at NVL / Blohm & Voss in Hamburg. After a stopover in Rendsburg, the towing train with the forecastle of the first Class 424 fleet service boat continued its journey towards Lemwerder.
