The Federal Association of the German Security and Defence Industry (BDSV) will become a strategic partner of the Global Security and Innovation Summit (GSIS). Together with the Hamburg Fair and Congress and the International Institute for Strategic Studies (IISS) the BDSV will strengthen the industrial perspective in the summit format and contribute security and defence industry expertise to the programme. The GSIS will take place on 9 and 10 December 2026 in the CCH Hamburg takes place. The format sees itself as a central European platform for dialogue between politics, industry, investors and research and focuses on topics such as Artificial intelligence, Quantum technologies, Space travel, Critical infrastructures, Energy security and Innovation financing.

The new partnership is intended to Industrial innovation cycles, industrial policy issues and Security policy requirements more closely interlinked in order to Europe's competitiveness and resilience to strengthen it. Leading representatives from BDSV, IISS, Hamburg Messe and GSIS emphasise the importance of cooperation for the security policy debate in Europe. The BDSV will also help shape the Summit's programme and provide its members with extended access to conference and exhibition formats.
