Indonesia: The old "Cottbus" in flames!

Hading Bay-538 is an old Frosch I-class landing ship of the NVA People's Navy, commissioned in 1978 and operated under the name "Cottbus" until reunification. The decommissioned "Cottbus" was then sold to Indonesia in 1993, where it was given the name "Hading Bay" and the hull number 538. It made headlines in the first days of June when a fire broke out on board in the Selayar Strait south of the island of South Sulawesi (Celebes). All 119 crew members (62 crew, 57 embarked troops) were rescued unharmed by naval vessels and civilian freighters in the sea area. According to the information available, the fire was extinguished and the ship was towed to a harbour.
