Exclusive view of the parade from the "Rhine" tender
The commander of Flotilla 1, Flotilla Admiral Sascha Rackwitz, had extended an exclusive invitation to watch the sailors set sail from aboard the tender "Rhein". And, as is tradition, many illustrious guests accepted the invitation on Saturday. With the best weather and excellent catering, the crew of the tender "Rhein" once again demonstrated their skills as an event platform during this Kieler Woche. The "Sail Out" has now become a fixed date in the maritime community, made possible by the German Maritime Institute (DMI), the German Naval Association (DMB) and the "Naval Section" of the German Armed Forces Association (DBBw).
