What's going on at the Warnowwerft Rostock naval arsenal? If you get up early, you can see what's happening. Shortly after a morning rain shower, the bow of the frigate "Hessen" pushes through the pier heads and is guided by two tugs to its berth in the new naval arsenal. Following the X-contribution of the Federal Office of Bundeswehr Equipment, Information and In-Service Support (BAAINBw), an immediate repair is carried out on the "Hessen". After successful completion, the flagship of the VJTF left the naval arsenal in the early afternoon to rejoin the organisation.

The repair capacities at the Warnowwerft Rostock naval arsenal were previously only intended for the boats of Operational Flotilla 1. In the summer of this year, repairs were already carried out on the Italian frigate ITS "Caio Duilio". The frigate "Hessen" is now the first ship from Operational Flotilla 2 to use Warnemünde as a maintenance hub in the Baltic Sea as part of an immediate repair programme. The capacity at the Warnowwerft Rostock naval arsenal is far from exhausted with one frigate. It's time for a big one...
