Under the motto "Turning point? It's all about procurement!" brings the MS&D Conference 2025 Leading representatives from the Marine, politics, industry and science to discuss current security policy challenges and new procurement strategies. The focus will be on Procurement, acceleration and collaboration - the keys to the future of European maritime defence.

On 25 November 2025 Germany's only international conference on maritime security and defence for the first time as an independent event outside the SMM - the world's leading trade fair for the maritime industry.

In the International Maritime Museum Hamburg come around 120 experts to a concentrated conference day with high-calibre panels, keynotes and intensive networking together. To the Keynote speakers count Former Admiral Joachim Rühleformer Chief of Staff at NATO Headquarters SHAPE, and Vice Admiral Carsten StawitzkiHead of the Equipment Department at the Federal Ministry of Defence. Both will provide input on security policy challenges and current procurement strategies in Europe.

Compass for the future:
The focus is on the Procurement for European navies and coast guards - with a view to opportunities for European industry, Unmanned systems as a key technology and New cooperation formats. European and German procurement initiatives are discussed as well as the role of Industry partnerships for credible deterrence.

MS&D sees itself as a Bridge between consumers and suppliersIt conveys expertise, creates transparency and opens up new perspectives - especially for Start-ups and medium-sized companieswho are looking to enter the military procurement process. At the same time, the conference is aimed at Established companies in the defence and dual-use industry, Innovation and development managers from business and science and European procuring entitieswho want to expand their network and explore new opportunities for cooperation.
