All employees remain on board
The "Park Inn by Radisson" Wismar hotel built by the MV Werften Group in the Hanseatic city and successfully operated for over three years remains thoroughly Hanseatic: a Hamburg family entrepreneur has acquired both the operating company and the property company and is taking over all employees. Both companies are financially sound and were sold by Dr Christoph Morgen in his capacity as insolvency administrator of the previous parent company MV Werften Holdings.

"We have completed an intensive sales process and the number of bids from Germany and neighbouring countries was high. The hotel's attractive Baltic Sea location directly on the Bay of Wismar and the customised design of the 100 or so rooms - ship cabins built at the MV shipyards - attracted a lot of interest from buyers. I am particularly pleased that all employees will keep their jobs," says Dr Christoph Morgen, Partner at the nationwide law firm Brinkmann & Partner.

The property being sold is around 22,500 square metres in size. So far, only part of it has been used for the hotel and the hotel's own car park; an expansion of the hotel is possible.
The parties have agreed not to disclose the purchase price. The Hamburg-based family entrepreneur and experienced hotel investor also does not wish to be named.
