Patrol boat PLUVIER visits Hamburg after all

After the cancellation at short notice in January (marineforum reported on 21.01.2026 > to the report), the French Patrol boat FS PLUVIER will now enter the port of Hamburg on Thursday, 12 March 2026 after all and will dock at around 10:30 am. Overseas bridge moor. The PLUVIER will remain a guest in the Hanseatic city until Sunday, 15 March 2026. Unfortunately, there will be no open ship due to renovation work on the pier of the Überseebrücke.

The three patrol boats of the Flamant class (type OPV54 "Flamant" P676, "Cormoran" 677, "Pluvier" P678) were put into service by the French Navy in 1997. They are used to monitor fisheries, for search and rescue operations and to monitor France's exclusive economic zone up to a distance of 200 nautical miles (370 km). The PLUVIER patrol boat is 54 metres long and 10 metres wide with a draught of 2.80 metres. The boat is under the command of Commander Captain Quarré de Boiry and has a crew of 25 men and women.
