Swap grey ship for chic yacht

Sarah Kroker

Sarah Kroker, founder of SK Yacht Service, knows what is important on board.

Hiring on a yacht? SKYS makes it possible.

Sarah Kroker loves going to sea - on large yachts and small boats: as a deckhand, as a ship's cook, as a stewardess. On her long journeys, she has worked in various jobs on board for many years and observed life on board with a keen eye. She knows her way around the seafaring world - she knows and appreciates the lifestyle and people on ships and boats. She knows who has what to do at sea and in the harbour on board a yacht.

Due to the pandemic, she found herself in calmer waters in her home in northern Germany in 2020 and founded SK Yacht Services to support the industry of professional sailors and yacht sports enthusiasts with her expertise and passion:

Today, she finds jobs on board yachts. She pays particular attention to ensuring that crew and yacht owner harmonise and that interests and passions match perfectly.

SK Yacht Service has a wealth of experience in this profession. Above all, it is Sarah's personal touch, her commitment and her understanding of the industry. A well-organised crew makes all the difference. She knows how to put together the right combination of crew members for each individual project - whether it's a spartan North Sea cruise or a luxurious round-the-world voyage. With this expertise, Sarah Kroker stands for absolute quality and reliability on the German market and with her name. And that is what her customers are looking for.

The requirements for future yacht professionals are correspondingly demanding: if you have experience and skills in seafaring but are unable or unwilling to develop further on container ships, freighters and naval vessels, this may be the right place for you.

We are looking for people who not only have a patent, a professional qualification and experience, but also the empathy, team spirit and special touch that is expected on a luxury yacht. A well-groomed appearance, discretion, charm and a willingness to provide service are indispensable skills on a luxury yacht.
Whether as captain or cook, helmsman, ship's engineer or deckhand - anyone who has learnt to deal with stress, bad weather and living in confined spaces on a submarine or frigate may find a job in the luxury segment a new challenge.

If you want to continue going to sea after your time in the navy, build on your experience with a twist and conquer the world from the sea, then Sarah Kroker has the right job for you.
