Rolls Royce also equips the new Lake Constance ferry with mtu gas engines
The newly christened 82.5-metre-long "Richmond", built for the city of Constance, is now underway on Lake Constance for sea trials. Two 8-cylinder mtu Series 4000 gas engines from Rolls-Royce, each with an output of 746 kilowatts, power Voith-Schneider propellers. The new mtu propulsion system is said to be quiet, clean and low-vibration.
