Visit of the Deputy Naval Attaché of the USA in Rostock - Warnemünde

The status of the friendship between the United States of America and Germany has developed from "complicated" to "good" since this year. This is based not only on a recognisable shared understanding of values, but also on persistent cultivation. One piece of the mosaic of this nurturing is the exchange between the navies, as happened on 27 and 28 July 2021 at the Naval Command in Rostock. During the visit of the US Deputy Naval Attaché, positions were exchanged and common practices were updated. In typical naval fashion, the programme was not only planned in stone ships, but the one or other nautical mile was also collected in order to explore the Warnemünde naval base for possible future port visits by the US Navy. The programme was rounded off with a guided tour of the corvette Erfurt to explain the operational profile and capabilities of the German corvettes.
